As such, the use of unified communications infrastructure on a mobile network, using various technologies, has become a major concern for the Telecom Service Providers (TSPs).

 

MT4 and MT5 are two entirely different communication platforms that run on the same existing platform (ISP). However, one platform, the MT4, does not need an additional bridge device like the MT5, to achieve the same level of functionality. Therefore, although both MT4 and MT5 make use of the same devices to enable communication between devices, they provide entirely different applications.

 

Each architecture uses its own set of hardware and software components, which ensures a better level of integration in the overall system. This is because the platform, being one in the same, contains all the required components to run both MT4 and MT5 systems. By implementing a high-end solution (MT4) that offers the best solution for both your networks and network-interconnecting technologies, you will be able to build a stronger and more efficient network. As such, you can potentially scale the platform to match the capacity of your customer base, if you wish to.

 

Variety – The MT4 platform is ideal for companies that have made use of a mixture of both MT3 and MT4 solutions, for which the service provider may have purchased a combination of software packages from a range of vendors. For example, the provider may have used Cisco routers, Juniper and Motorola access equipment to deliver its services and may therefore require a single platform, allowing him or her to upgrade the software or routers if necessary.
