User management
Managing users in Autodesk Account is done in two different ways. The classic user management system assigns users by product. The by product/by user list is separate from the classic user management list and has different administrative roles.
With classic user management, a contract manager is assigned automatically when a product is purchased. This person manages users and keeps track of subscriptions. They can also be removed from the contract if they no longer need the seat. However, they cannot be removed from the classic user management list.
In the by product/by user list, seats are pooled for multiple subscriptions. They can be assigned to individual users or groups of users, and each user can select up to six users. The user can also assign the seats to multiple users, but only to a higher role than the owner.
With the classic user management system, a software coordinator is assigned to manage users. This person also keeps track of subscriptions and helps users to get notifications about new releases. They can also manage more than one contract.
